Q&A Panel Discussion Featuring Filmmakers from The National Film & Television School

An opportunity to hear from current students at the National Film & Television School studying across a range of courses and sharing their filmmaking experience and pathways, followed by a Q&A.
For over half a century, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) has developed some of Britain’s and the world’s top creative talent.
The students on the panel study a range of subjects from; Production Management, Assistant Directing, Directing Documentaries, VFX, Sound Design.
This event is free to access, but early booking is advised as places are limited.

From Script to Screen with DMLK
Wednesday 21st February | 6:30pm-9:30pm
Creative or Corporate, how do you translate a script from page to screen? We’ll show you how to break down a script, plan your kit list and execute the shoot. Turn your vision into a reality!
Limited spaces are available for this practical 3-hour session at the subsidised rate of £5.

Introduction to Filmmaking Course for 11-17s
Monday 19th February 2024 to Friday 23rd February 2024 | 10:30am-5:30pm
This weeklong course will see you working with a Hertfordshire-based film production company, DMLK Video. During the week you will be covering all the key aspects of making a film, from pre-production, developing a script, operating a camera, lighting, sound, through to post-production and editing. All equipment will be provided to the young person and no previous filmmaking experience is necessary.
This weeklong course is fully funded with additional support available with food and travel, and priority will be given to young people from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the film industry.
